There's no doubt the Thatcher legacy has left its footprint all over the UK's economic and social landscape. 100s of thousands have know for some time about her economic legacy as their incomes have stagnated or detriorated.

There is, however, a bigger issue or maybe just a more subtle one. It has to do with the moral hazard that is endemic in most Western societies where mythical free market doctrines, despite talks of reform, remain prevelant. Trickle down economics is the foundation upon which all subsequent events eminate. The idea that workers are inferior and must rely on a newly created and self-aggrandising meritocracy for their survival.

Hopefully this self inflicted economic crisis will raise awareness within the those who classify themselves as middle class or classless to the 'winner take all' doctrines which are siphoning off wealth from social goods and services, upon which we all rely, into a relatively few purses.

Alas, we are an optomistic species and will put up with individual and community privation until it becomes unbearable. Progressivism requires building from the grass roots; reaffirmation of our common community ties; and an entire new roadmap of economic, communication and social policy. Alas, I seek but do not find.

Slánxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17714769524873176633noreply@blogger.com
